Once you have purchased the car from auction, it is your responsibility to get it transported within few days (usually 5 days, but sometimes 3). If car doesn’t get picked up within the time frame given, you will end up paying storage fees of $20- $25 per day.
You can contact your transporter to get it transported or you can rent a trailer and transport it yourself. The cost of renting a trailer, paying for the gas and time wasted , is usually higher than the price transportation company will charge you.
Some people try to save money on transportation by driving a vehicle home from the auction. It is illegal to do so, as the car isn’t registered or insured yet.
If you have made a decision to call transportation company, that should be done as soon as you pay for your vehicle, as time is very valuable here. The sooner you call your transporter, the sooner pick up can be arranged.
Silver Star Transport will reserve a spot for your vehicle as soon as text message with buyer and lot number is received. If vehicle is located in one of the auctions on our regular route, you should expect a very prompt pick up and delivery. Otherwise pick up will be arranged with reliable transporters as soon as possible and for the most reasonable price.
